In June 2000, WesTrac China Ltd. Beijing Rep. Office was set up which symbolized that WesTrac was officially registered in Chinese Mainland.
In May 2001, WesTrac China held the grand opening ceremony in Diaoyutai National Guesthouse.
In January 2002, WesTrac China formally received the exclusive dealer rights for Shanxi Province.
In 2002, WesTrac China successively set up branch offices in Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Hebei, Liaoning, and Jilin.
In September 2002, the 5000th HEX manufactured by CXL was donated for Olympic construction.
In March 2003, Rental & Used Equipment Division officially started up the rental business of Caterpillar equipment and participated in the 1st China (Beijing) Rental Exhibition in October 2003.
In June 2003, WesTrac China 6 SIGMA kick-off ceremony was held which symbolized the official launching of our pursuit of 6 SIGMA standards across the company.
In October 2003, WesTrac China won the Australian Chamber Special Environmental Commendation Award of 2003.
In October 2004, WesTrac China won the Australian Chamber of Business Excellence Award and for a second year won the Special Environmental Commendation Award.
In June 2004, the director of WesTrac China was invited to participate in 2004 Athens Olympic Torch Relay in Beijing.
In November 2004, WesTrac China was elected as a member of the Board of Governors of China HEX Association, member of Machinery Dealers Association of China and a member of National Parts Association of China.
In March 2005, WesTrac Equipment Rebuild Centre celebrated their grand opening ceremony in Tianjin Free Trade Zone.
In December 2005，WesTrac China was selected as The Best Volunteer Group by the Communist Youth Organization and Beijing Volunteer Association
In February 2006，CAT Rental Stores Launched in WesTrac Territory
In May 2006，WesTrac China developed the first Caterpillar Think Big vocational training program for apprenticeship in China and Asia together with Caterpillar.
