Shandong SEM Machinery Co., Ltd is a Sino-US joint venture.

 Located in Qingzhou City, the SEM facilities cover a total area of 1,000,000 m² and have 2200 employees and total assets of RMB 1.6 billion. At the World Economic Development Declaration Conference held on November 5, 2003 in Zhuhai, SEM signed the Letter of Intent for Cooperation with Caterpillar – a world top 500 company and the leading manufacturer of Construction and Mining  machinery. On March 22, 2005, SEM joined the Caterpillar family and  SEM Co., Ltd was established. The new SEM was greatly reinforced by the joint venture. It introduced Caterpillar’s advanced management experience and methods into the company  such as  6Sigma The new  management team and cultivation of an enterprise culture has  revitalized SEM. As Caterpillar’s exclusive dealer in Northeast and North China, WesTrac became an official dealer of SEM in our territory.

 SEM has developed into the largest production base for wheel loaders in China. SEM has manufactured D, E, F, G and H series loader products and now with Caterpillar’s technological and management support, it  has produced over 70 models in 6 categories – ZL16, ZL30, ZL40, ZL50, ZL60 and ZL80. The G and H series has adopted humanistic green designs and has reached  world class  levels. WZ30-25 is the most advanced and professional excavation loader in China. The company has an annual production of 10,000 loaders with leading design and research capabilities, manufacturing techniques and testing methods in the industry.
